Intro

What we are all about.

Batasia Loop under 600 meters 5 min walking distance from Balaji Home Stay. There is no better place to get a 360 degree view of Darjeeling's landscape including the hill town and the snow covered peaks of the Eastern Himalayas with the majestic Kanchenjunga on one side. And all this from the middle of a lovely flowering garden around which the toy train track is laid.

Homestay Policies

1. If you wish to check in late, kindly inform us. In case of amendment, cancellation, the homestay must be notified at least 6 hours in advance.
2. Guaranteed Room Reservations not cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival would attract a retention charge equivalent to one nights room tariff.
3. In the event of a cancellation prior to 48 hrs, please do retain the cancellation number, to ensure that no retention charge is levied.
4. Guests are requested to settle their bills directly at the time of check out. We are not in a position to accept personal cheques.
5. Smoking inside the Room Strictly Probhited.

Darjeeling Himalayan RailwayDarjeeling Himalayan Railway

One of the most popular places to visit in Darjeeling, DHR is approximately a 2 feet narrow gauge train track that covers the distance between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. This 88-km long railway track is best known for its toy train which gushes amid the misty hill side and offers absolutely gorgeous views of the valley.

Tiger HillTiger Hill

The most famous mountain peak in Darjeeling, Tiger Hill is best known for its trekking routes and panoramic views of Mt. Everest and Kanchenzonga. One needs to walk or drive through the oldest tea plantations, in order to reach Tiger Hill. It is recommended to witness the first rays of the sun on Mt. Everest. Don't miss capturing it in your camera as well because it will be a majestically rich experience.

One of the most popular places to see in Darjeeling, this park is best known for its Red Panda and Snow Leopard breeding program. Spread across a sprawling 65.56 acres of area, the Zoological Park is home to some of the most endangered species of animals in India, including snow leopard, red pandas, and Himalayan Salamanders.

Peace PagodaPeace Pagoda

It is a Buddhist shrine which is a part of 30 similar structures located around the world. This white-coloured edifice is accentuated with gold painted sculptures, which are the highlight of the entire Pagoda. There are four avatars of Buddha located inside the building, including the famous Maitreya Buddha.

Ghum MonasteryGhum Monastery

Elevated at a height of approximately 8,000 feet Ghoom Monastery is one of the top places to see in Darjeeling. Also known as Yiga Choeling, it was established in 1850 by Lama Sherab Gyatso and is known to be the oldest Tibet Monastery of Darjeeling. It is best known for its 15-feet high statue of Maitreya Buddha which stands tall in the main hall of the Monastery.

The main reason why people visit this park is for its magnetic views of the majestic Kanchenjunga. The other reason for visiting this area is that the lush green environment that fills your mind and soul with high vibrations. You feel happy and ecstatic for no reason after visiting this place.

How to Reach

How to reach Batasia Loop by Air If you are planning to reach Batasia Loop via airways then the nearest airport is in Bagdogra, West Bengal. The total distance between Bagdogra and Batasia Loop is around 65 Km. This major airport is well connected with all the major cities in india.
How to reach Batasia Loop by Rail Closest railway station is Darjeeling railway station, distance approx 65 kms from Siliguri Junction (but now railway track are damage).
And another closest railway station is New Jalpaiguri station which is 90 Km far from Darjeeling. The railway station is well linked with both major and minor parts of the country.
How to reach Batasia Loop by Road Batasia Loop is well linked by road with Siliguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong as one can opt for National Highway NH55 to reach the region. One can also hire private , jeeps and taxis from Siliguri and Bagdogra.
